Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization supports the technology and systems behind Apple's customer and employee experiences. The IS&T EMEIA organization covers Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa and includes Apple's IS&T Accessibility Center of Excellence.

The Accessibility Center of Excellence works with teams across Apple to help ensure that websites, internal systems, applications and digital services are accessible to everyone.

Role overview

Apple is seeking a Web Accessibility Engineer to support accessibility evaluations and remediation of web applications. The role requires a foundational understanding of technical accessibility standards, attention to detail, curiosity, communication skills and a willingness to learn.

You will evaluate web applications, document accessibility findings, recommend improvements and collaborate with product, design and engineering teams. You will also contribute to accessibility training materials, tools and standards while developing your expertise under the guidance of senior team members.

Key responsibilities

Perform accessibility evaluations of web applications using established testing methodologies.

Identify accessibility issues and document findings clearly.

Provide actionable recommendations to support remediation.

Debug unfamiliar code and trace issues to their root causes.

Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Support accessibility reviews and help integrate inclusive design into products.

Contribute to accessibility training materials, tooling and standards.

Continue learning accessibility technologies, testing practices and best practices.

Minimum qualifications

Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Ability to debug unfamiliar code using browser developer tools.

Ability to trace technical issues to their root cause.

Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

Willingness to learn new technologies and accessibility best practices independently.

Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborative mindset and ability to build working relationships.

Ability to manage tasks across multiple workstreams with team support.
