About the Role Amazon is looking for passionate Systems Development Engineer Interns to build innovative and mission-critical software applications and tools. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, architecture, and development of consumer products while working with experienced engineering teams. You will be involved in delivering and supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools in a fast-paced Agile environment. Responsibilities • Build and contribute to innovative software applications and engineering tools • Participate in the design, architecture, and development of software solutions • Work with large-scale, multi-tiered, and distributed systems • Support the delivery and operation of software applications and tools • Collaborate with engineering teams in a fast-paced Agile development environment Internship Requirements • The internship requires full-time commitment for its entire duration • Interns must not have conflicts with academic projects, classes, other internships, or employment during the internship • Candidates selected for the internship must provide a declaration confirming their availability to complete the full internship duration

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at the time of application • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java, C, C++, or Python • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis • Excellent problem-solving skills • Good verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of distributed and multi-tiered systems • Knowledge of algorithms and relational databases • Knowledge of optimization mathematics, including linear programming and nonlinear optimization • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions • Ability to handle ambiguous or undefined problems and think abstractly • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced Agile development environment
