Job Summary

Rubrik is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve cloud software. The role focuses on cloud technologies, distributed systems, and reliable software engineering. Engineers are expected to take ownership of projects, manage priorities and deadlines, and contribute to building scalable data protection solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop software using cloud technologies and distributed systems concepts.

Test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications.

Take ownership of individual projects, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Apply software engineering principles and design patterns to build reliable solutions.

Collaborate with engineers and other teams to solve complex technical problems.

Contribute to software development activities throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent qualification, in Computer Science or a related field.

0–2 years of relevant work experience.

Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, or Python.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Understanding of SDLC methodology, design patterns, and software engineering principles.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex, time-sensitive projects.

Preferred Skills

Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Knowledge of Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures.

Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud software development.
