Java Developer

Cognizant is hiring a Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications using Core Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Kafka, and Oracle Database. The role strongly emphasizes Core Java programming, problem-solving, collections, concurrency and multithreading. The candidate will work on an existing Spring MVC application and collaborate with engineering teams to develop reliable and maintainable software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Core Java. - Solve programming and technical problems using strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Work extensively with Java String handling and mutability concepts. - Use the Java Collection Framework effectively. - Develop and troubleshoot concurrent and multithreaded applications. - Work with Spring MVC-based applications. - Work with Hibernate for database interaction and persistence. - Work with Kafka within the application stack. - Work with Oracle Database and perform database-related development and troubleshooting. - Debug and troubleshoot application issues. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code. - Explain technical solutions and the reasoning behind implementation decisions. - Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver application enhancements. - Support application maintenance and continuous improvement. - Contribute to UI development using ReactJS when required. - Follow software development best practices and coding standards.
