This tool draws a text watermark straight onto your PDF with pdf-lib, on your own device. Type the watermark text - CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, or anything else - pick one of nine positions from a corner to dead centre, and a straight or diagonal angle. Set the font size, the opacity so the watermark sits behind your content, and a colour, then use the page grid or the range box to watermark only part of the document. Pages that carry their own rotation are handled properly: the watermark, straight or diagonal, is placed and turned so it sits in the position you asked for and reads upright, exactly as a reader sees the page.
All processing happens in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server.
The watermark is drawn straight onto the pages, so even a several hundred page PDF is done in a moment.
A sideways page still gets its watermark upright, the same way the reader sees the page.
