Software Engineer

NCR Atleos is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and deploy high-quality software solutions. The role involves object-oriented software development, integrating AI/ML capabilities through APIs or libraries, working in an Agile environment, troubleshooting complex systems, improving engineering processes, and contributing to technical documentation. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in sprint planning and commitments, and follow software development and quality assurance best practices.

Required skills

Programming: JavaScript, .NET, C#, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, TypeScript, Python.

Software design, development, deployment, and object-oriented programming.

Practical integration of AI/ML capabilities using APIs, libraries, LLMs, ML services, or SDKs.

Agile development principles and team-based sprint commitments.

Prompt engineering, awareness of AI limitations, and responsible AI use, including bias, security, and correctness.

Understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Software design skills and development tools.

Analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

Software development and quality assurance best practices.

Written and verbal communication, teamwork, and collaboration.

Task estimation, prioritisation, multitasking, and working independently with limited supervision.

Preferred / additional skills

C++ and Java (preferred, not essential).

Jira and Confluence.

Sonar.

Docker.

CI/CD pipelines.
