Software Engineer

Join DigiCert’s Public Trust PKI engineering team to develop and maintain backend services supporting certificate issuance and management. The role focuses primarily on C++ development, REST APIs, distributed systems, microservices, database integration, debugging, performance optimization, secure coding, and Agile software delivery.

Required Skills

2+ years of professional software-development experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Strong C++ and object-oriented programming skills

Data structures and algorithms

Software design principles

REST API development or consumption

Distributed systems and microservices architecture

Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases

Basic Docker and containerized deployments

Git-based source-control workflows

Debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving

Build systems and toolchains such as

CMake

Make

MSBuild

GCC/Clang

Visual Studio

Secure coding practices

Communication and collaboration skills

Go programming language
