Software Engineer

Scoutit is hiring Software Engineers to build and maintain critical software systems in a fast-paced, quality-focused startup environment. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain critical software systems. - Author software functional specifications and design documents. - Understand complex systems and take ownership of key components. - Design and implement scalable algorithms. - Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in distributed computing environments. - Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code. - Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional teams. - Work with technologies including Java, Golang, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, GCP Stackdriver, GCS, Cloud Composer, and AI Platform. - Contribute as a collaborative team player across teams. Must Have: - Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design. - Strong analytical and debugging skills. - Experience building and deploying distributed, resilient software systems. - Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex production issues. - Comfort working in agile, iterative development environments. - Strong problem-solving mindset. - Entrepreneurial attitude and ownership mentality. - B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent. Nice to Have: - Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience with Java, Golang, or Python. - Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and cloud-native infrastructure. - Startup experience.
