Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Infocusp Innovations is hiring a Senior Data Engineer (GCP) with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud infrastructure, data ingestion, and Python development. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable GCP infrastructure for enterprise data workloads. - Architect and organize GCP projects, networking, storage, IAM, and security configurations. - Build scalable cloud infrastructure patterns for data processing and storage. - Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources. - Develop production-grade ingestion frameworks and data processing solutions. - Optimize data ingestion workflows for performance, reliability, and cost. - Ensure data quality, validation, monitoring, traceability, and observability. - Develop Python-based data engineering applications and automation tools. - Build reusable libraries, services, and utilities for data workflows. - Implement logging, monitoring, testing, and error handling for production systems. - Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Security teams, and business stakeholders. - Drive technical initiatives from architecture and design through deployment and ongoing support.

Must Have: - 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related fields. - Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Experience designing and implementing GCP architecture and infrastructure for data workloads. - Expertise with GCS, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Run/GKE, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring. - Experience with cloud networking, security, authentication, authorization, and access control. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform. - Strong understanding of data quality, monitoring, observability, and production best practices. - Strong experience building data ingestion pipelines and data processing workflows. - Hands-on experience designing secure data transfer and proxy solutions. - Strong Python programming skills and experience building production-grade data applications. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Nice to Have: - Experience organizing GCP environments for data sovereignty and residency requirements. - Experience with infrastructure automation and cloud operations. - Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments. - Experience leading technical initiatives and collaborating across teams.
