Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Infocusp Innovations is hiring a Senior Data Engineer (GCP) with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud infrastructure, data ingestion, and Python development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable GCP infrastructure for enterprise data workloads.
• Architect and organize GCP projects, networking, storage, IAM, and security configurations.
• Build scalable cloud infrastructure patterns for data processing and storage.
• Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources.
• Develop production-grade ingestion frameworks and data processing solutions.
• Optimize data ingestion workflows for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Ensure data quality, validation, monitoring, traceability, and observability.
• Develop Python-based data engineering applications and automation tools.
• Build reusable libraries, services, and utilities for data workflows.
• Implement logging, monitoring, testing, and error handling for production systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Drive technical initiatives from architecture and design through deployment and ongoing support.

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience designing and implementing GCP architecture and infrastructure for data workloads.
• Expertise with GCS, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Run/GKE, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Experience with cloud networking, security, authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
• Strong understanding of data quality, monitoring, observability, and production best practices.
• Strong experience building data ingestion pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Hands-on experience designing secure data transfer and proxy solutions.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience building production-grade data applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
