Junior Software Developer

About the role

EzyHelpers is looking for a Junior Software Developer who is eager to learn, build, and grow with its product engineering team. The developer will work on CHAP, the company's internal CRM platform, contributing to production features used by operations and business teams.

Responsibilities

Build and improve customer, helper, and job management modules in a Django-based CRM.

Develop and maintain application features using Python and Django.

Integrate payment gateways and communication APIs, including WhatsApp and SMS services.

Create internal reports, dashboards, and business workflow automation tools.

Debug and resolve production application issues.

Collaborate with senior developers through code reviews and pair programming.

Write clean, maintainable, documented code with appropriate test coverage.

Required skills

0–2 years of professional or project-based Python development experience.

Basic understanding of Django or a comparable web framework.

Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application fundamentals.

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Basic familiarity with Docker and containerised development.

Clear communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred skills

Experience building or consuming REST APIs.

Familiarity with Bootstrap or other frontend frameworks.

Git workflows, branching, and pull requests.

Exposure to Celery, Redis, or background task processing.

Experience with CRM systems, fintech, or SaaS products.
