Data Science INTERN

Job Overview

Microsoft is seeking a Data Science Intern to work on real-world projects involving machine learning, statistics, experimentation, algorithms, and data analysis. The intern will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business and engineering problems, develop analytical approaches, and generate insights that improve Microsoft products and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities Develop approaches to solve problems using appropriate algorithms and data sources. Understand product functionality and customer needs to provide context for analytical problems. Explore and analyze data to identify new questions, patterns, and opportunities. Evaluate data limitations and determine whether available data is suitable for solving a problem. Interpret analytical results, validate methodologies, and continuously improve solutions. Monitor and analyze outcomes to refine approaches and improve performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate clear, actionable insights. Support improvements to Microsoft products and services through data-driven recommendations. Participate in peer reviews, incorporate feedback, and learn new analytical methods, algorithms, and tools.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.

Must have at least one additional academic quarter or semester remaining after completing the internship.
