About the role

Harmonic is hiring an Associate Software Development Engineer for its Broadband Devices Team. The role involves developing embedded software features, collaborating with hardware teams, troubleshooting network devices and products, and resolving system-level issues.

Responsibilities

Develop software features for embedded systems.

Debug complex system issues reported by QA teams and customers.

Perform root-cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of defects.

Implement long-term corrective and preventive solutions.

Collaborate with hardware and software teams to resolve cross-layer issues.

Required qualifications

BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science Engineering (CSE).

At least 85% or 8.5 CGPA, as stated in the posting.

No current backlogs, repeat year, or gap in studies.

Strong C and C++ programming and coding skills.

Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred skills

Linux knowledge.

Scripting with Perl, Python, Bash, or similar tools.
