Associate Front-End Software Engineer

Light & Wonder is hiring an Associate Front-End Software Engineer to build engaging client-side experiences for desktop and mobile games while contributing to innovative game development projects. Responsibilities: - Implement and maintain client-side code for desktop and mobile games. - Develop client/server-based applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies. - Contribute to the development of new game features and innovative gaming experiences. - Debug, modify, and support in-game features and development tools. - Participate actively in game design and feature implementation. - Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality gaming products. - Support development and operational tools in a timely manner. Must Have: - 1–3 years of software development experience. - Strong understanding of JavaScript and its quirks/workarounds. - Experience with data structures using JavaScript or another programming language. - Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3. - Experience with development tools, IDEs, debuggers, and bug tracking systems. - Proficient understanding of version control systems such as Git, CVS, or SVN. - Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming concepts. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have: - Experience with React, AngularJS, jQuery, NodeJS, or similar frameworks. - Knowledge of Java, C++, Python, or other programming languages. - Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Grunt. - Distributed client/server application development experience. - Game development experience. - Experience in UI development and animations.
