Applications Developer

Uber is hiring an Applications Developer I for its Catalog Ingestion Team, which helps maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date menus and product catalogs for Uber Eats partners, including restaurants, retailers, supermarkets, pharmacies, and convenience stores.

The role focuses on building and maintaining integrations between Uber's inventory and catalog platforms and external partners. The engineer will work with product engineering, partner management, and partner engineering teams to improve integration quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Build high-quality integrations using Uber's Inventory and Catalog platform.

Collaborate with Catalog Engineering, Partner Management, and Partner Engineering teams.

Monitor the quality and reliability of existing integrations.

Participate in on-call responsibilities and respond promptly to maintenance requests.

Identify gaps in the catalog data model and recommend improvements.

Ensure partner-provided data is ingested accurately and reliably.

Required Qualifications

Strong coding skills in at least one dynamic programming language, preferably Python.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong attention to detail in a technical environment.

Ability to follow established processes and maintain consistent work quality.

Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
