AI Engineer - Voice AI & Agents (GCP ADK)

Mira Labs AI is hiring an AI Engineer to build production-grade Voice AI agents and multi-agent workflows for enterprise mortgage lenders across North America. Responsibilities: - Design and build production agentic systems using GCP Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Vertex AI (Gemini). - Develop real-time Voice AI agents with streaming STT/TTS, turn-taking, interruption handling, and telephony integration. - Architect multi-agent orchestration with tool calling, memory, guardrails, and human handoff. - Build RAG pipelines over mortgage documents and guidelines. - Create evaluation harnesses, regression suites, and monitoring systems. - Optimize latency, cost, caching, and fallback strategies. - Work with Azure OpenAI alongside GCP. - Mentor engineers and establish AI engineering best practices.

Must Have: - 5–8 years of software/ML engineering experience. - 2+ years building LLM-powered products in production. - Hands-on experience with Google Cloud ADK and Vertex AI / Gemini. - Experience building Voice AI agents and conversational pipelines. - Strong Python engineering skills. - Experience with Twilio, LiveKit, SIP, WebRTC, or similar technologies. - Deep understanding of agent design, tool calling, planning, guardrails, and failure handling. - Experience designing evaluation and observability systems for AI agents. Nice to Have: - Experience with Azure OpenAI, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks. - Fine-tuning and model optimization experience. - Experience in regulated industries such as fintech, lending, or healthcare. - Contributions to open-source AI tooling.
