AI Engineer - Voice AI & Agents (GCP ADK)

Mira Labs AI is hiring an AI Engineer to build production-grade Voice AI agents and multi-agent workflows for enterprise mortgage lenders across North America.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production agentic systems using GCP Agent Development Kit (ADK) and Vertex AI (Gemini).
• Develop real-time Voice AI agents with streaming STT/TTS, turn-taking, interruption handling, and telephony integration.
• Architect multi-agent orchestration with tool calling, memory, guardrails, and human handoff.
• Build RAG pipelines over mortgage documents and guidelines.
• Create evaluation harnesses, regression suites, and monitoring systems.
• Optimize latency, cost, caching, and fallback strategies.
• Work with Azure OpenAI alongside GCP.
• Mentor engineers and establish AI engineering best practices.

Must Have

• 5–8 years of software/ML engineering experience.
• 2+ years building LLM-powered products in production.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud ADK and Vertex AI / Gemini.
• Experience building Voice AI agents and conversational pipelines.
• Strong Python engineering skills.
• Experience with Twilio, LiveKit, SIP, WebRTC, or similar technologies.
• Deep understanding of agent design, tool calling, planning, guardrails, and failure handling.
• Experience designing evaluation and observability systems for AI agents.
