PDF to PowerPoint - Convert a PDF Into an Editable PPTX

Turn the text of a PDF into an editable .pptx deck, one slide per page, in your browser.

Add a PDF

Convert

Add a PDF to turn its text into a .pptx you can edit, one slide per page. Conversion happens in this tab — nothing is uploaded. A scanned PDF holds no text to read, and the tool will say so.

About PDF to PowerPoint

This PDF to PowerPoint tool reads the position and size of every piece of text on the pages you pick and turns each page into one slide. Text sitting at roughly the same height becomes one line, lines separated by a noticeably larger vertical gap than the page's usual line spacing become separate paragraphs, and the line set clearly larger than the rest of that page becomes the slide title; when nothing stands out the slide is simply titled by its number and all the text goes in the body. The slide size is taken from the PDF's own crop box, so a landscape PDF becomes a landscape deck rather than being squeezed into 4:3. The result is written as a genuine .pptx package - presentation, slide master, slide layout, theme and one slide part per page - that PowerPoint, Keynote, LibreOffice Impress and Google Slides all open directly. What you get back is text, not the design: images, shapes, charts, tables, backgrounds, colours, exact fonts and positioning are not reproduced, so a visually designed PDF comes out as plain text slides you can then style yourself. A scanned PDF holds no text at all, only pixels, and the tool says so plainly rather than handing you an empty deck. Everything runs on your own device, so the file never leaves the tab.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, this PDF to PowerPoint tool is 100% free with no hidden charges, no signup required, no watermarks, and no usage limits.
Absolutely. The PDF is read directly in your browser using JavaScript, and the .pptx is built there too. Your file is never uploaded to any server, so nothing leaves your device.
A scan is a picture of a page, so there is no text inside the file to read, only pixels. The tool detects a page with no text and tells you plainly instead of giving you an empty deck. If every selected page is a scan, no file is produced at all. Reading a scan needs OCR, which is not included in this tool.
Because this tool recovers text, one slide per page, not the design. A title and body paragraphs are rebuilt from the text and its position, but images, shapes, charts, tables, backgrounds, colours, exact fonts and positioning are not reproduced. A PDF with a strong visual design comes out as plain text slides in reading order, which you can then style yourself.
On each page the line set at the largest font size becomes the slide title, as long as it is clearly larger than that page's typical text size. Everything else becomes body paragraphs in reading order. If no line stands out, the slide is titled Slide 1, Slide 2 and so on, and all the text goes into the body.
The slide size is taken from the first selected page's crop box and converted to inches, so the deck keeps your PDF's aspect ratio. A landscape PDF gives a landscape deck and an A4 portrait PDF gives portrait slides, rather than everything being forced into 4:3 or 16:9.
Yes. Type a range like 1-3, 5, 8- in the pages box to choose which pages are read. Only the pages you select become slides.
No. A password protected PDF has to be unlocked first. The tool says so plainly when you drop one in, rather than failing silently.
