Data Science Intern

Sony Research India is seeking a technically strong and motivated intern to contribute to predictive algorithms, video analysis, and machine learning research. The role involves exploring complex datasets, testing machine learning techniques, converting business hypotheses into reliable software, and contributing to production-level infrastructure. Responsibilities include analysing and cleaning large datasets, extracting insights from data annotations, developing and optimizing AI/ML models, collaborating with engineering and business teams, building scalable data pipelines, and evaluating model performance through offline verification and online A/B testing.

AI/ML, video analysis algorithms, LLMs, Python PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, scikit-learn Supervised and unsupervised learning, loss functions, bias mitigation SQL, PySpark, Polars, Apache Arrow Currently pursuing MS, MTech, B.Tech, or an advanced undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
