Associate Engineer - AI services

NTT DATA is hiring an Associate Engineer for its AI Services team. The role involves assisting with the design, development, testing, deployment, and integration of software systems, including cloud-based applications and microservices.

The engineer will work with APIs, telemetry data, structured and unstructured datasets, and machine learning and AI algorithms. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, supporting automated testing and software deployment, debugging distributed systems, refactoring and reviewing code, integrating third-party software, and maintaining technical documentation.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with foundational knowledge of programming, cloud services, data structures, algorithms, databases, APIs, containers, CI/CD, and Agile development practices. The role offers an opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to enterprise-scale software and AI solutions.

Required skills

• Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, C/C++, C# and relevant libraries or frameworks.
• Cloud: Basic understanding of AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365.
• Software engineering: Data structures, algorithms, software design, debugging and code refactoring.
• APIs and architecture: Microservices and API product development, including RESTful APIs.
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch, MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Containers: Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and LXC/LXD.
• DevOps: CI/CD concepts, cloud deployments, automated testing and software delivery lifecycle tools.
• Development practices: Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, test-driven development and data-driven processes.
• AI/ML: Familiarity with large datasets and applying suitable ML/AI algorithms.
• Soft skills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, initiative, collaboration and adaptability.

Preferred skills and certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
• Relevant Agile certifications.
